I really love the FIGHTING FANTASY books by Steve Jackson & Ian Livingstone and I have a full collection of “green spines” as they are known which I am very proud of and I can regularly be found adventuring around the world of Titan which is the world where the fighting fantasy books are (mostly) set.
My favourite book is “Deathtrap Dungeon” and I am currently working on my own adventure game book with Jamie which I will announce here at a future date! I am also going to start making some bookmarks and other things fighting fantasy related so watch this space for more news! I plan to have bookmarks, dice boxes (little chests), perhaps custom pencils and dice and of course my own book as and when it is finished which should hopefully be in the next 2-3 months. We are also working on a board game, “Everdark Park”, which will be a funny and exciting tabletop RPG-lite style board game.
For the book, we are working on a new combat system which is very different from the traditional FIGHTING FANTASY one and I hope everyone will enjoy it as much as we are enjoying working on it as I think it is more action packed and involving for the player as opposed to the traditional method of working out the encounter yourself with dice.
I am proud to present the first in what will hopefully be a series of FUNKYSPECTRUM voice packs for various games, the BALDUR’S BUM voicepack. This is a pack for the legendary RPG, Baldur’s gate. This add-on will work on both Baldur’s gate I & II as well as the new enhanced editions and includes full dialogue for one character as well as a customised character portrait featuring my good self.
This was created by long time bummer “Caulkhead” using bespoke files provided by myself especially for the game. You will not hear this dialogue elsewhere and it was all recorded specially to match the phrases and contextual comments made by ingame characters.
The instructions for install are all contained in the download and it is a very simple and easy to follow the process. In no time you’ll be hearing me in the game blurting out things like “and you heard it here first” and “get up you stupid, stupid bastard !”
I wish you many hours of fun with the voice pack and suggest that you check back here from time to time to see what new goodies have been created.
Also, if you are a bummer who has an idea about how to incorporate some of my sayings or my character/likeness into a game then please get in touch as I’d love to hear from you!
